Lesley Dick

Office Manager

My role at Bakerview has evolved since I began working here in 2005. I still do reception and front office administrative duties, however, with the growing need for someone to meet the immediate needs of the homeless or those struggling financially, I have been freed up to sit and talk and determine the best course of action for those who come to the church for help. This opportunity to use my passion for people in need  has given deep meaning to my role here. James 2:14-17 has become my admonition – “What good is it, my brothers (or sisters), if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well: keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
