Equality. It seems like equality could actually be the highest good, but the context of equality will determine whether it has a positive effect. You may have seen this illustration, where equality favours some, but brings disadvantage to others.
Equity. As opposed to just equality, which looks “fair”, equity looks below the surface and considers the ultimate worth. Things may look unfair in terms of distribution or ownership, but they are equitable.
